Feuer richtete grossen Schaden in Kasambara an. Kurz bevor ich heute das Spital erreichte, sah ich linker Hand ein völlig abgebranntes Gelände. Die Hitze entfachte ein Buschfeuer das kaum zu löschen war. Der Wind entfachte das Feuer immer wieder aufs Neue. Viele Sträucher, Bäume und kleine Häuser wurden in Mitleidenschaft gezogen. Unsere Angestellten sagten mir, sie hätten grosse Angst gehabt das das Feuer bis zum Spital reichen würde. Zur Vorsorge fingen sie an rund um das Spital Wasser zu sprühen. Doch wir hatten Glück. Das Feuer stoppte etwa 300 Meter davor.Today a fire damaged large parts of countryside in Kasambara.
