The Rhein - Valley Hospital in Nakuru-Kasambara opened in 2004 and is directed by Ruth Schäfer of Switzerland. The hospital relies solely on donations for buying food and medicine for the poor and suffering locals. Moreover, all funds are used directly for patient care. Hilfeleistung im Camp

rs. Kurze Zeit von Regen und schon gibts einen Ausbruch von Durchfall, Magenproblemen und Erkältungen. Gestern klagten viele Mütter, dass ihre Kinder krank seien, doch sie hätten kein Geld um ins Spital zu fahren. Also kurz entschlossen organisierte ich heute mein Team. Voll gepackt mit Medizin fuhren wir zum Camp um dort die medizinische Versorgung zu leisten. Den ganzen Tag lang untersuchten wir die Kinder und gaben ihnen die richtige Medizin. Erst um 17 Uhr packten wir wieder zusammen und fuhren zurück. Es war ein anstrengender Tag für mich und mein Team und wir waren alle froh, als wir im Spital ankamen.
