The Rhein - Valley Hospital in Nakuru-Kasambara opened in 2004 and is directed by Ruth Schäfer of Switzerland. The hospital relies solely on donations for buying food and medicine for the poor and suffering locals. Moreover, all funds are used directly for patient care. Benefiz-Veranstaltung am 20. Mai

Am 20. Mai findet im Kino Madien in Heerbrugg eie Benefiz-Veranstaltung zugunsten des Rhein-Valley Hospitals in Nakuru (Kenia) statt. Dabei wird der von Tele Südostschweiz produzierte Dokumentarfilm "Mama Matata - eine Appenzellerin in Afrika" uraufgeführt. Moderation durch Ananda Ammann, Miss Schweiz 2007. Der Gesamterlös des Abends, an dem auf Hackbrettspieler Nicolas Senn auftritt, komt dem Spital zugute. Ihre Spende schenkt Hoffnung und rettet Leben.
